More money has been allocated to keep Dothan’s I-10 Connector on track.
US Representative Terry Everett of Rehoboth says eleven million dollars in funding for the project has passed Congress.
It was part of the 388 billion dollar Federal Appropriations Act of 2005.
Congressman Everett says he was pleased to see Congress approve his request for funding to connect Dothan to Interstate 10 in the Florida Panhandle.
He also said the economic future of the Wiregrass area hinges on expanding transportation.
The appropriations act also includes millions of dollars in additional funding for projects throughout Alabama’s Second Congressional District.
