News 4 learned of some apparent bogus phone calls circling the Wiregrass informing residents of a closing of the Enterprise-Ozark Community College.
Ozark Mayor Bob Bunting says the rumors of the closing are false and that residents should disregard the calls.
Apparently, some unknown person or organization is spreading the false rumors by calling local phone numbers beginning with the numbers 774 and 445.
Recently, there has been a push to form the brand new Alabama Aviation College on the EOCC campus.
So far, that is just a proposal and the college will not be closing anytime soon.
However, there are talks of a de-merger to create an aviation campus in Ozark.
School and city leaders will hold a press conference this afternoon, regarding the issue.
We'll give you more details on this, tonight on News 4.
