There has been an average of one cab robbery a month since last July. And that’s a record high for Dothan.
On Friday morning, two men robbed a AAA driver. Shortly before 6 a.m., a AAA cab driver was called to the Beeline on East Newton Street to pick up two men and drop them off at the Henry Green Apartments. But, instead of them paying him money, they took his money.
The last robberies have either occurred at convenient stores or apartment complexes.
AAA owner Mark Nall says that he and other cab company owners are teaching their drivers a few preventive measures. The most important not having more than 40 dollars and knowing their routes.
Houston County Crimestoppers is offering a reward up to $1,000 in this case.
