A center in Charleston has developed a Web site to help people keep up with hurricanes.
The Coastal Services Center is part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
The new Web site offers 150 years of storm history.
The site can be found at http://hurricane.csc.noaa.gov/hurricanes/index.htm.
The Historical Hurricane Tracks site provides information on the paths, strength and damage of each recorded storm. It also can create maps to show locations, months, years and storm severity.
Alison Rogers, a communications specialist with the Coastal Services Center, said people living in coastal communities want to keep up with hurricanes and what has happened in the past.
The site includes storms predating the start of official weather bureau hurricane reports in 1886.
