The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office continues its investigation into a shooting that happened early Wednesday morning in Fort Walton Beach.
Twenty-one-year-old Steven Thomas Barnes was attacked just after midnight.
His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
He remains in stable condition at a Northwest Florida hospital.
Witnesses identified the assailant as 31-year-old Malrik Boose, Jr. of Fort Walton Beach.
Barnes was visiting his cousin's home when it happened. The cousin and Boose have a child together.
A motive for the attack has not been determined, but authorities have warrants out for Boose.
Deputies arrested a man identified as the driver of the getaway car, 44-year-old Charles Wesley Banks. He was taken into custody about two hours after the incident.
Banks was charged as an accessory after the fact to attempted felony murder and aggravated battery.
