Tropical Storm Lili

Tropical Storm Lili is still out there, disorganized and moving to the west south of Hispaniola.

Lili's center is now about 280 miles south-southwest of Santo Domingo.

Movement remains to the west at about six miles an hour. Top sustained winds are near 40 miles an hour, with little change in strength expected.

Forecasters think Lili might be transforming back into a tropical wave. But they are concerned it could reform over the western Caribbean, so it is still being closely watched.

For now, the longer-range forecast shows Lili centered south of central Cuba in about 72 hours.

Lili centered at latitude 14.5 north, longitude 70.8 west.
