A Pennsylvania teen-ager found starving in the Florida Panhandle has died.
Eighteen-year-old Chester Lee Miller told police in Milton his stepfather in Pennsylvania had put him on a bus to Florida and told him to go look for his real dad.
Miller's mother Lyda Miller and step dad Paul Hoffman are jailed in Pennsylvania. Prosecutors there plan to upgrade charges later this week.
Prosecutors say the boy's mother and stepfather confined him to one room for months, beat him every day, fed him only scraps and didn't let him out of the house.
Two other children who had been in the couple's care have been turned over to a Pennsylvania social service agency. They're reported in good health.
