Gov. Bob Riley has started the selection process to fill the seat on the Auburn University board of trustees currently held by Golda McDaniel of Auburn.
Riley says the at-large seat comes open in February. Candidates wishing to be considered for it should submit information to the Auburn University Trustee Selection Committee at Auburn University by December 10.
Riley heads the five-member trustee selection committee that will recommend a trustee to the Alabama Senate for approval. Serving with Riley are two representatives of the Auburn alumni board, Neil Christopher and Ralph Jordan, and two trustees, Earlon McWhorter and Paul Spina.
