A sex offender who was arrested 10-years after the crime occurred was found guilty.
43-year-old Kenneth Eugene Bryant was charged with attempted murder, rape and sodomy.
The 85-year-old victim died seven years ago.
She was left blind by the attack that happened in September of 1993.
Not long afterwards, Bryant ended up in prison and served seven years for robbery and theft.
But, police say a routine DNA test linked him to the attack on the elderly woman before Bryant was paroled.
Jurors deliberated about an hour before convicting Bryant Wednesday morning. He faces up to life in prison.
Sentencing is set for December 9th.
