Attorneys in the Westley Devon Harris capital murder trial questioned 38 potential jurors behind closed doors for about 90 minutes Wednesday morning as family members of the victims and Harris waited restlessly inside the courtroom.
Prosecutors says six members of a rural family were methodically shot to death by an angry Harris because they wanted to keep him away from his teenage girlfriend.
Opening arguments got underway Wednesday afternoon.
Crenshaw County court officials say seating was limited. Only a small number of spectators were allowed inside the courtroom.
