Meth No Tolerance Policy

The Houston County Sheriff's Department says anyone thinking about distributing or using meth in the Wiregrass better think again.

After the arrest of Albert Keith Adams and Crystal Barthleness on drug charges, deputies say they have gone to a “no tolerance policy.”

Authorities found methamphetamine along with marijuana at a Gordon home.

The homeowner, 23-year-old Robert Jones, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, when officers allegedly found marijuana and small amounts of meth on his property.

The sheriff's department wants this incident to serve as an example for those who may want to try the same thing.

The sheriff's department says methamphetamine remains the biggest drug problem in the area.
