Wiregrass officials have more questions than answers after an apparent homicide along the Geneva/Coffee Countyline.
Police haven't officially said if the body is a man or a woman.
A resident found the body wrapped in several plastic garbage bags about 9:30 Monday morning off a remote country road near Lowery. Lowery is located South of Kinston.
Geneva and Coffee County authorities, along with the Alabama Bureau of Investigations combed a heavily wooded area for clues to the apparent homicide. The body was about 50-yards off Tin Top Road.
Unofficial sources indicate the victim is a woman and she was completely covered in plastic, garbage bags.
At this time, the identity is not known although a week old missing person case from Coffee County is being closely considered. Police say the body was in the woods for less than 48-hours.
It was found by a nearby resident who had previously reported vandalism in the area.
The state department of forensics transported the victim to Mobile for an autopsy. A cause of death has not been given at this time.
