An Amber alert has been issued this morning for a woman and her three children, whom authorities believe were abducted at gunpoint by her ex-husband.
The Alabama Department of Public Safety says the four were taken from their home in Ariton yesterday evening.
The woman is identified as Victoria Hines. Her children were identified as: eight-year-old Amanda Nicole Hines, 13-year-old Mindy Lee Taylor, and 15-year-old William Taylor. All are believed to be in danger.
Authorities believe their abductor is Max Otis Hines.
They may be traveling in a white 1983 Dodge D-150 pickup truck, bearing Alabama tag number 2-6-C-9-6-9-J.
The Ariton community is located in Dale County.
