A maintenance worker told jurors how he found the body of his boss, who had been murdered.
His testimony came in the capital murder trial of 19-year-old James Bonds.
Bonds is accused in the robbery and shooting death of Norman Manning. The murder happened in September of 1999, but it was more than a year before Bonds and another man were arrested and charged with the crime.
Richard Thompson told the jury he found the office door locked, but saw Manning slumped at his desk and thought he had suffered a heart attack. But once he used his keys and got inside, Thompson said he saw blood and called police.
District Attorney Doug Valeska told jurors some witnesses in the case are already behind bars themselves. He also said that police had cut a deal with one of those witnesses in return for his testimony.
