An accused killer is free on bond and the mother of the victim is not happy.
Back in February, Eighteen-year-old Emmanuel Perkins allegedly shot and killed 15-year-old Sumner Bonds.
Perkins was originally denied bond, but it was recently overturned and he has been released.
The mother of the victim, Cynthia Helms didn’t know Perkins was getting out on bond.
Now with her son's accused killer on the streets, Helms says she doesn't feel safe.
Helms says when she found out about Perkins’s release she was very disturbed.
Helms has been working with District Attorney Doug Valeska to get the bond revoked.
