Death Row Inmate Claims He Did Not Get Fair Trial

Christopher Floyd in Court

A death row inmate from Houston County is claiming he didn't get a fair trial.

The Alabama Court of Criminal appeals ordered a lower court to review Christopher Floyd's capital murder case earlier this year.

Floyd was convicted and sentenced to die two years ago for killing a store clerk in 1992.

49-year-old Archie Crawford was gunned down during a robbery at Waller's Grocery near Ashford.

The appellate court sent the case back to Judge Larry Anderson.

Tuesday, the judge heard Floyd's claims that blacks and women were unfairly excluded from the jury pool by prosecutors.

Judge Anderson says he'll issue a ruling at a later date
