Officials say a pilot with 27 years' experience was flying a helicopter ambulance that crashed into Choctawhatchee Bay in the Florida Panhandle. It killed him and the two other crew members on board.
Sixty-three-year-old Tom Palcic was the AirHeart helicopter pilot from Fort Walton Beach and the flight nurse was Santa Rosa Beach resident Jack Chase. Divers found their bodies after the crash Wednesday.
Robert Heighton was a Gulf Breeze paramedic employed by the South Walton Fire District who was also on board. His body hasn't been found as of this morning.
