State Health Officer Don Williamson says no flu cases have been confirmed in Alabama so far, and it looks like Alabama will have a normal flu season despite the shortage of flu vaccine.
Williamson's announcement today (Thursday) coincides with the state receiving 35,000 more doses of flu vaccine. He says the vaccine is being distributed to county health departments and they will be offering clinics between now and Christmas. Williamson says people considered most at risk for flu should contact their county health departments for information on when shots will be offered.
