Some proposed changes in the system that's used to haul away wrecked cars in Dothan have been put on hold by the new city manager.
City officials appointed a committee to look at the problem three months ago following complaints from both citizens and towing company operators.
Currently, more than two dozen towing companies in Dothan take turns handling wrecks and other police calls for a two week period.
A committee recommended some changes in the current system last month, but City Manager Mike West wants to take a closer look at the situation before any proposals are implemented.
West says he hopes to finish his review of Dothan’s towing system within a few weeks.
