Second Chance Body Armor of Geneva temporarily laid-off half of its work force.
The company makes bullet-proof protective vests for the military and police departments.
The Michigan based company has 250 employees at its Geneva plant.
About 125 of those employees received lay-off notices Monday because of a re-organization of the company.
Second Chance recently filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy, but officials say the lay-offs are only temporary and employees should be back to work in two to three weeks.
