A suspect in the killing of a fellow carnival worker at the national peanut festival is free on bond.
28-year-old Shane Westover was arrested yesterday, by U.S Marshals in Montgomery.
He was returned to Dothan where he posted $30,000 bond.
Westover is charged with manslaughter.
He’s accused in the beating death of 60-year-old Michael Cowherd of Indianapolis.
Police say the two men got in a fight last Thursday and Cowherd sustained a critical head injury.
He died Saturday at a Dothan hospital.
Westover is scheduled to be in court on December 11th.
