Maryland Shooting

Residents are on edge Friday morning as police search for a sniper who killed five people during a 16-hour span over the last two days in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Police have extra patrols around schools and outdoor activities are expected to be canceled for a second day.

Calls are pouring into 911 by frightened residents and police said all the reports are being investigated.

Tests on the bullets and wounds show all five victims were shot at long-range, probably with an assault or hunting rifle.

There are no eyewitnesses to the shootings, but police are looking for a white box truck seen speeding away from the scene of one shooting.
