Hurricane Lili

Hurricane Lili has hit land on Louisiana's south-central coast. It's lashing low-lying coastal towns with wind and rain as it moves inland.

Lili had weakened before washing ashore, but its still packing winds of 100 miles an hour.

The eye of the storm has passed over New Iberia, Louisiana -- about 140 miles west of New Orleans.

Hurricane winds are extending about 60 miles from the center and are predicted to stay strong up to 100 miles inland. The entire area is under a tornado warning.
