Chipola Junior College President Retires

After 36 years in the Florida community college system, Chipola Junior College president Dr. Dale O'Daniel has announced his retirement.

O'Daniel began his career at Chipola in 1967 as an economics professor.

After teaching for 12 years, he became the Chief Business Officer for the college. In 1986 O'Daniel took a position at Daytona Beach Community College as Vice-President for Administrative Service. But in 1995, he returned to Chipola Junior College as its president.

O'Daniel said he plans to enjoy his retirement by spending time with family and traveling.

His last official day on the job will be Oct. 31.
