Man Dead After Shooting at Waffle House

PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) - An Ohio man was fatally shot and two
others injured after what deputies believe was a possible robbery
gone wrong at a Waffle House restaurant.

Dustin Conner of Miamisburg, Ohio, apparently drove out of the restaurant's parking lot under gunfire from a semiautomatic weapon.

Officials say he was found nearby behind the wheel of his car and had multiple gun wounds in his back.

Conner's passenger was also struck by gunfire but in stable condition following surgery at a hospital. A third man was treated and released with knife wounds.

Witnesses say an argument broke out at the Waffle House when someone tried to rob the man who was stabbed. Officials say that apparently escalated to gunfire.

Authorities have not arrested anyone in connection with the case.
