Tydall to Help Out with California Fires

The U.S Air Force is helping fight the wildfires in California and the effort is being co-coordinated through Tyndall Air Force base in Panama City.

The air force is sending six C-130 cargo planes that can be outfitted to spray thousands of gallons of flame retardant and help put out the fire.

Air Forces Northern based at Tyndall is overseeing the operation.

Command and control and support personnel are also being deployed.

In addition to fighting the fires, Tyndall is also delivering supplies and helping with rescues and evacuations in the disaster area.
