The Town of Napier Field has received more than $241,000 in state money to resurface 16 deteriorated streets throughout the town.
The streets have not been re-surfaced since they were originally built in the 1940's.
Napier Field officials said street improvements are a top priority for them.
More than 16,000 feet of resurfacing will correct all street hazards within the town limits.
The community development block grant, which is footing part of the bill, came from funds made available from the state department of Housing and Urban Development.
Local matching funds of nearly $27,000 will supplement the grant.
