The case of just who will represent North Carolina at the Miss America Pageant were heard Thursday in Wilmington.
Federal Judge James Fox said he could rule as early as Thursday afternoon.
Preliminaries are already under way in Atlantic City.
Rebekah Revels argues she was unfairly replaced as Miss North Carolina after a former boyfriend told pageant officials he had topless photos of her. They've never been made public.
Her replacement was the runner-up -- Misty Clymer.
But Revels wants an order compelling the Miss America Organization to recognize her as a contestant. She's also suing her ex-boyfriend.
