The Houston County Health Department has confirmed a seventh case of rabies in the county.
A raccoon found on October 8th on Enon Road in Webb was tested and found to be positive for rabies.
The Health Department says a resident found the raccoon fighting with neighbor's dog and called for the animal to be tested.
Residents are advised to keep all pets vaccinated, keep children away from wild or stray animals and report any stray animals to an animal control official.
There is no known human contact with the rabid raccoon and the dog is currently vaccinated against the disease.
