Roundtable Discussion: Combining Two Dothan High Schools

Parents got a chance to speak out Thursday night about combining the two Dothan high schools.

Next month the superintendent of Dothan city schools will give his recommendation on whether or not to combine the two Dothan high schools.

Northview High School hosted the 17th public forum in Dothan school's Thursday and a big topic was whether or not to combine Dothan High with Northview.

Currently, the two high schools in Dothan offer just three advanced placement courses each. If they were to combine that number would jump to more than 13.

November 13th is the day that Superintendent Nichols will offer his recommendation based on the feedback he's had at these meetings.

A new state of the art high school would cost about 6 million dollars if they decided to build.
