Railroad fans take their passion for trains to the Peanut Festival Fairgrounds for the 20th Annual Wiregrass Model Railroad Show and Sale.
"I just love trains, big trains, little trains, model trains it doesn't matter," said Danny Lewis, Railroad Show Chairman.
The railroad show displayed any and everything related to trains, ranging from A to Z.
“Anything from G scale to Z scale which is the very smallest to the very largest in trains," said Dave Ramirez, sales representative with Trains by Johnson.
More than 1200 people attended the two-day family event.
"We love the young kids, they will be the future of this hobby," said Ramirez.
Officials say it takes a lot of hard work, patience, and time to design a train model.
“It takes a few years to design; we started off 10 years ago with just 4 corners.”
For many, sounds of the choo-choo train brought back fond memories.
Officials say, next year's event will include more model train design layouts and activities for kids.
