An accused killer is trying to withhold a key piece of evidence from jurors during his trial.
20-year-old Kenneth McKinnis of Ozark is charged with capital murder along with two other suspects.
They are accused of killing Byron Belser of Chipley during a robbery at a Dothan night club in August of last year.
A hearing on a motion to suppress the taped statement that McKinnis gave to police was held Wednesday morning.
Judge Jerry White will issue a ruling later.
The judge says he hopes to bring the case to trial within the next six months.
