A man convicted of manslaughter in the highway death of a Pike County toddler was sentenced in Troy.
44-year-old Gerald Craig Boswell was found guilty in August of killing 21 month old Clay Worsham.
Boswell was also convicted of assaulting the child's mother.
Tanya Worsham was pushing her son in a stroller along the side of Pike County Road 2243 in April of last year when they were run down by Boswell.
Prosecutors said Boswell was driving under the influence of prescription drugs at the time of the incident.
Judge Thomas Head sentenced Boswell to 15 and half years for manslaughter and 7 and half years for assault.
The judge has not ruled on whether the sentences will run consecutively or concurrently.
