Elba Police Dept. Took Over Enterprise 911 Dispatch System

At 12:01 Monday morning, the Elba Police Department took over dispatch services for the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department.

For several years, the Enterprise Police Department handled those calls.

But because of a high number of calls Sheriff Dave Sutton felt it important to lessen that load.

The county will pay Elba $30,000 a year for the service.

Emergency calls will continue to be received by simply dialing 911.

Non-emergency calls to the sheriff's dispatch center can be handled by calling 897-2555.
