Ozark Budget Cuts
A lack of revenue is tightening Ozark's budget belt. The city is slashing 20 city jobs from the fire and police departments, and public and leisure service departments.

In addition to cutting jobs...the city is also raising fees;
The garbage collection fee will increase from 15 to 17 dollars including a late payment fee.
And for motels, a $2 per room fee.
Officials say the new budget scheme saves more than one million dollars over the next fiscal year. The fee increases will take effect October 1st.
