PANAMA CITY, Fla. (AP) - Officials say a man was charged with resisting arrest in Panama City after he fled from deputies in boxer shorts and socks.
The Bay County Sheriff's Office says deputies went to a hotel to arrest Jonathan C. Griggs on several misdemeanor warrants.
Deputies say they saw Griggs try to climb out of the window of his room. An incident reports states Griggs then came to the door -- where he pushed one deputy and tried to kick another.
That's when Griggs -- wearing only his boxers and socks -- ran off into the hotel's parking lot, jumped a fence and hid in some woods.
The sheriff's office says Griggs was later arrested and charged with resisting arrest without violence and battery on a law enforcement officer.
