Investigators were flooded with tips and one of them apparently paid off.
Customs agents believe they caught the serial stabber at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta.
The man – who is yet to be identified – is an Israeli citizen who was trying to board a Delta flight to Tel Aviv.
He’s wanted for twenty attacks in three states.. five victims lost their lives.
Police believe the spree started on May 24th in Flint, Michigan with David Motley’s murder.
Police focused their manhunt in Flint – where 16 stabbings took place.
But the attacker's most recent stabbing may have been this past weekend in Toledo, Ohio.
The suspect is linked to 3 attacks here in Leesburg, Virginia. Last Tuesday night police say he stabbed a teenager jogging in the area. The young man made it to this gas station and the clerk called 9-1-1.
Investigators caught the suspect’s Chevy Blazer on surveillance cameras.. and say he’s lived in both Leesburg and Flint.
Nearly all his victims were black men – attacked at night – without warning.
Detectives from all three states are converging on Atlanta ... to make sure they have their man... then bring him to justice.
The victims ranged in age from 17 to 60 years old.
