A Slocomb man is undergoing rabies shots after being bitten by a stray dog over the weekend.
Local officials say it highlights Geneva County’s lack of any form of animal control.
On Sunday, Bobby Brown says he was riding his bike near his Slocomb home when two dogs suddenly charged him.
Brown says a small, black dog caused him to fall and then bit him on the ankle.
Since the dog has not been found, brown is in the process of receiving rabies shots.
Several attempts by private individuals to get an animal shelter built in Geneva County have been unsuccessful.
