UPDATE
The fire has been extinguished and is now under control.
A medic is with the victim who was entrapped.
Ozark EMS and Dothan PD are on the scene.

1 ambulance is on the scene of the accident. Another is en route.
We have confirmed two vehicles were involved - heavy damage and smoke.
1 person has been pulled from the wreckage. A medic is currently working on the person who is entrapped.

First responders are arriving on the scene of a two-car accident on Highway 231 just north of Troy University's Dothan campus.
One person is still trapped inside one of the cars, and that car is fully engulfed in flames.
The northbound lane of 231 is shut down to traffic. The south bound lane has been reduced to one lane.
News 4's Bethany Anderson is on her way to the scene. We'll update as more information becomes available.
