DOTHAN, AL - On November 1, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded to the area of Selma Street and South Appletree Street after receiving a report of a strong arm robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned the victim walked to the Canon Station (140 E. Cottonwood Rd) to make a purchase. The victim said she noticed a black male, later identified as Quinlavan Thomas, watching her while she was in the store. She also observed the man was in the company of a black female who was standing behind her in line at the check out counter while the male was watching her. Having completed her transaction, the victim left the store on foot and noticed both subjects were following her. The victim was then approached by the male who demanded and snatched her wallet then fled. The victim began chasing the male while dialing 911 and observed the female meet back up with him at the intersection of Selma and South Appletree Street where they apparently ran together for a brief time before separating again at which time the victim lost sight of them. Patrolmen responding to the area located and arrested the female suspect, identified as Shadae Thomas. Investigators say the second suspect remains at large and are asking anyone with information about the case or location of the suspect to call the Dothan Police Department or CrimeStoppers 334-793-7000.
•Shadae Thomas, black female, 22 years of age, of West Selma Street was arrested and charged with Second Degree Robbery with a $15,000 bond. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
•Quinlavan Thomas, black male, 25 years of age, of Ashford, Alabama is WANTED for Second Degree Robbery with a $15,000 bond. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
