Prom Season and Spring Break Bring Reminder for Parents

By  |

It may not look like it today but spring is almost in the air.

Prom season and Spring Break are almost upon us.

These events may seem like a rite of passage for teens, but they can also be dangerous if alcohol is involved.

Teens trying their luck with a fake I.D. should think again.

The Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board monitors liquor stores and trains their employees to look for fake I.D.’s.

The most important thing is to teach your kids to not drink and drive.

"If you don't think of anybody else think about your parents. Your parents send you off; they send you to school to get your education. They want you to enjoy your life while you’re there. But at the same time they don't want to be cut short the ability to see you grow into the person they expect you to be," Dothan Police Sgt. Maurice Eggleston said.

During Spring Break the Dothan Police Department will step up their patrol in certain areas like Highway 231 South.
