Alabama Radio Legend Helps Wiregrass Children’s Home

(Dothan,Al)-On Tuesday Alabama Radio Legend Paul Finebaum stopped by Dothan to use his voice for a good cause. Finebaum hosted a press conference and fundraiser to help out the Wiregrass Children’s Home.

“It’s shocking to see how little these projects receive from the state, and having a podium at my disposal, I think it’s my job to help,” Finebaum said.

The Children’s home has helped more than 700 abused and neglected children since opening back in 1989. However, the center receives little money from the state and relies heavily on donations.

“I came from a similar background and so I want to make sure our children are taken care of,” Dothan Mayor Mike Schmitz said.

All proceeds raised from the event will go towards the Wiregrass Children’s Home, however donations are always welcome.
