ATLANTA (AP) - Authorities will not charge a former DeKalb schools chief operating officer who says she was "unknowingly" married to two men at once.

DeKalb District Attorney Gwen Keyes Fleming says she won't
charge Patricia Pope with bigamy.

This week, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Pope filed for annulment from her husband Anthony Pope, claiming in a
petition that she was "unknowingly" married to someone else. Records show she had filed for divorce from her previous spouse in 2001 and did not know that it was dismissed.

The district attorney is currently investigating Pat Pope on allegations she steered multimillion-dollar school construction projects to her architect husband and his contractor friends.

Fleming says she is focused on that criminal investigation.
