Agriculture futures rise, livestock prices fall

CHICAGO (AP) - Agriculture futures were higher in early trading
Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for March delivery gained 6 cents to $4.80 a bushel; March
corn added 2.25 cents to $3.5875 a bushel; March oats jumped 2 cent
to $2.30 a bushel; and March soybeans rose 5 cents to $9.19 a
bushel.
In other trading, beef and pork futures fell on the Chicago
Mercantile Exchange.
February live cattle dipped 0.25 cent to 85.55 cents a pound;
March feeder cattle dropped 0.52 cent to 98.35 cents a pound;
February lean hogs slid 1.43 cents to 65.07 cents a pound; and
February pork bellies fell 1.25 cents to 80.25 cents a pound.
