On Monday, Feb. 6, workers will begin construction on a project to improve intersections on County 389 at U.S. 231 and County 390.

On Monday, Feb. 6, workers will begin construction on a project to improve intersections on County 389 at U.S. 231 and County 390.
The work on the County 389 and U.S. 231 intersection will begin approximately 400 feet north of the intersection of County 389 and Baldwin Road and continue to the intersection at U.S. 231. The work will involve relocation of drainage structures, milling and replacing pavement with new asphalt.
The work at the intersection of County 389 and County 390 will add a right turn lane on County 389 in the northbound lane and right turn lanes on the east and westbound lanes of County 390. The pavement will be milled and replaced. The work zone will extend approximately 300 feet from the intersection in each direction.
The contractor will begin mobilization and demolition the week of Feb. 6. Work that will have a major affect on traffic, such as milling and paving, will be done at night. Weather permitting, the work is scheduled for completion in 60 calendar days. Motorists are asked to exercise caution in the area and can expect periods of intermittent delays.
