Cold overnight temperatures prompt officials in Crestview to open shelter

New Beginnings Church in Crestview at 412 W. James Lee Boulevard will open tonight at 6 p.m. and will remain open until 8 a.m. Friday.
Okaloosa County Cold Weather Shelter Program provides protection during freezing weather.
Program organizers estimate approximately 50 to 65 individuals take advantage of the shelters each time one opens.
