"an open dialog we want to sit down and talk with them like we have done for the last 2 years. We have indicated yes we can dothan and the community we have made every effort. to work with the school district i dont see any reason why we have not continued this process this time." Thomas Harrison
THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE IS WORKING TO MAKE THE PUBLIC AWARE OF THE NEGATIVE IMPACTS THEY BELIEVE SCHOOL CONSOLIDATION WILL HAVE. FRANKLIN JONES WHO IS ON THE DOTHAN CITY SCHOOL BOARD AND WILL VOTE ON THE SCHOOL CONSOLIDATION ISSUE SAYS HE IS OPEN TO INPUT BUT HAS NOT MADE ANY DECISIONS.
"i have not personally made up my mind in which parts if we should or should not consolidate the two high schools" Franklin Jones
MR. JONES ALSO SAID THAT YES WE CAN DOTHAN IS A VALUABLE ASSET TO THE SCHOOL SYSTEM AND NOT INCLUDING THEM IN THE DECISION MAKING PROCESS WAS NOT MENT TO OFFEND THEM
"i think the youngest student in our dystem knows that yes we can dothan is an asset. I dont believe Dr. Nicoles would do anything to offend that group of concerned citizens"
Franklin Jones
