Headland's Spring Art & Garden Festival Showcases Local Talent

Artists from around the region brought out their handiwork at Headland's Spring Art & Garden Festival.

It's the first year for the event which comes as an expansion of Headland's former Daylily Festival.
The festivities got underway this morning in Headland's downtown square, Kids got in on the action too.
With art lessons and even some gardening demonstrations. Organizers say the aim of the event is to cultivate and encourage local art.

"I think that everybody that's coming out today is seeing what wonderful artists we have, what beautiful things they can purchase for their homes and enjoy the creativity of our local residents," said Janice Lien, a local art vendor.

Local daylily growers gave garden tours all throughout the day.
