HYDE PARK, N.Y. (AP) - Soon, American troops will be in the chips --
Volunteers in an upstate New York town managed to bake 550 dozen cookies in just one day this week.
The 6,600 chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies were all made Monday and mailed yesterday.
The goodies are going to American troops overseas.
The head of the Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce, Liz Rogers, says the
packages will also include single-use cameras, so the volunteers
will be able to see pictures of the soldiers enjoying their treats.
Rogers adds she just wishes they could have sent milk along with
all those cookies.
