Windham Elementary School looked more like Happy Days than a grade school on Friday morning.
The kindergartners dressed up in their best 50’s costumes to celebrate 50 days of days. The students wore colorful poodle skirts and leather jackets. Some even had their shined up saddle-oxford shoes on.
After making crafts to celebrate this week, teacher say this is a fun way to learn.
“They enjoy it, it is a math skill we are working on, counting all the way to 100 but obviously, counting halfway there to 50,” said Natasha Chalker, Kindergarten teacher.
To make the celebration even sweeter, students snacked on root beer floats later in the school day.
